Under $100

This outfit is pretty simple. It is an easy outfit that can go from class to out with friends. Dark wash skinnys are a great transitional item good for day and night. This top is a simple black tee but the lace gives it that girly dressed up look. Both very comfy. Throw a short length trench over for some extra warmth.

The heels have a lace up feature which is awesome because not everyone has the same width foot you can lace them up for desired tightness. The clutch is an updated shape of the rectangle one that we all have in every color. Aviators look great on every face shape and in a fun color. A thick cuff and some hoops and some bling without looking like a disco ball.

Heels are always great but if your a flats girl a pair of ballet flats would do. Or colder weather some below the knee boots would do. This outfit has a lot of great textures which keeps it interesting. A structured tote would work if you needed some more room for your things.

Todays Tip

To help extend the life of your clothes always read the care tag. Hand wash only items really need to be hand washed. An easy way to do that is buy a laundry sorting bin. Keep all the hand wash in a separate bin so they don't get mixed in. Then when you have a few you can wash them all at once instead of separate. I try to wear a hand wash item twice if I can before washing it. When you do wash them make sure you use Woolite and don't twist and pull that is why it is hand wash only. When I wash the rest of my clothes I sort them lights and darks. I aways use Woolite on the lights and Woolite darks on the darks. It really helps extend the life of my clothes.

Outfit Under $50 Yes $50!

I started with a plaid flannel shirt in a simple black and white. I liked the shirt because it had a nice belt sash that will give it a more fitted look. Pair it with some basic black leggings and your in business. The fitted leggings with the loose top will balance out well. For shoes some studded sandals add some bling or to save some $$$ I'm sure everyone has a pair of black ballet flats which would work well too. Add some retro black frames a big black bangle and effortlessly cool has been established. And don't forget a reusable tote if you are doing any shopping. Think of the Critters don't Litter!

With the colder months approaching quickly we are shopping for warm winter clothes. To help get more out of your warmer months' wardrobe layer your leggings. I like to wear a black pair over a colored or patterned pair so just a little bit shows at the bottom. It will also keep you much warmer. This also works for thin leggings just wear 2 pairs of the same color. I know we all love a $5 pair of leggings but sometimes they are a little too revealing especially the lighter colored ones. Leggings are also a great thing to wear under jeans for even more warmth.

Under $100 from Forever 21

I started with a pair of lightweight basic black skinny pants. The pants can be dressed up or dressed down and for $12.50! The graphic tee with the kitten softens up the moto jacket and gives the outfit some contrast. Throw this awesome dark denim moto jacket over it. It helps to balance the skinny jeans with a jacket up top. This jacket is great because it can go with just about everything. It looks great over a plain v neck or over a cocktail dress.

For assecories I wanted to stay with mostly black and silver. Bangles are great because you get a bunch of them for under $8, you can wear just 1 or all of them. A big silver cuff is always a fun add on. Long dangly earrings look great with your hair pulled back to the side and add one of these bobby pins next to your pony. The clutch can be used as a wallet for day and a purse for night serving double duty. Platforms and skinnys make the shortest legs seem to go on forever. Add a purple leopard belt for a shot of color.

The total price of this outfit $98.30 and every single piece can be reworked into a different outfit. A purple eye and some clear gloss would finish the look off.

Hello Hello Hello

Introductions are always a little bit strange. I will start by telling a little about myself. I'm T I'm 21 and stuck in a city that is as far away from the fashion world as it can get. I have always loved fashion. The first time I remember enjoying designing an outfit was when I got a Barbie crayon template coloring thing that your could put a different head, shirt, and bottoms on then rub a crayon over and your design was made. I have always been interested in styling whether it was hair, makeup or someones outfit. I'm currently working at a cosmetic counter in a department store. When I took the job I thought it was going to be a lot different that it was. Unfortunately it was my mistake not to visit the mall first or I would have realized it was a position where I get moisturizers for little old ladies and not making people look hot. But it is a job and the store is always empty so I usually get to look at fashion magazines all day. I hope to not be stuck in this awful city much longer. I need a big city where people wear more than a tee and unflattering jeans. I need a city where there is culture and actually things to do.

What my vision for this blog is to how to look amazing without breaking the bank. I know that I can't go out and drop $800 for the slamming shoe that is all over the runway. I want to feature complete outfits for under $100 and how to rework those outfits into even more outfits. Everyone should be able to look good without spending a lot even though they look like they do. So along with some fashion I'm sure I will add some makeup tips as well. So with that I hope what I see can transfer to this very empty blog.
